Clarity Pen®
FAQ's

USER
What is the best way to activate the device?
Activating your device is as easy as 1,2,3.

1-Simply place the filled ampoule on a table.

2-Place the empty Clarity Pen® chassis over the top of the ampoule and match the center post with the center of the ampoule septum and then push downward.

3-Then, take the protective silicone covering off the mouthpiece, align with the top of the bottle and push down firmly until you hear a click.

Congrats! You've just activated your device. That's correct, this is absolute the first time your formulation has been exposed to oxidation, foreign filaments, and the extracts have been preserved just as stable when created in the lab!

*Please NOTE: You still need to power the device in order to produce vapor. Please view "Best way to initiate tab"
*Please NOTE: You can spin the mouthpiece in the preferred direction to best match the power button on the battery!
What is best way to Initiate different Formulations?
Wasn't that easy, Great Job!

Now that your device is activated, let's get going!

1- Connect the
Clarity Pen® to the 510 threaded power battery. (Please view Battery recommendations for more info)

2- Depending on how thick your formulation is, you may want to expedite its way to the vape chamber. Best way to do this is to simply power the device and running through a few button power sessions. If the formula is thin it should take less than one button activation, if it is thick, this can take up to 3 power sessions to begin vapor.

3- Once you've fully activated the device and vapors have produced, you are all set to go! That's right, no need to pre-heat the vape again!

NOTE: For thick fractions, you can store the ampoule upside down prior to placing it into the chassis, allowing formulation to initiate quicker after activated.

What battery is recommended?
Depending on your formulation inside the ampoule, really depends on the optimal battery choice.

1-Batteries with a power button, pre-heat function, and variable voltage control with a standard USB power source are the most preferred. The pre-heat function is a time saver and great. It lowers the voltage operates for 15 sec without holding button.

2- You can use any power button activated 510 threaded batteries with or without pre-heat and variable volt.

3- Buttonless batteries can work. It will be hard to activate thicker extracts, but over time they will settle after loading the ampoule.

Clarity Pen® features a standard 510 threaded connection for universal compatibility. Which also include 360'-degree unrestricted airflow pathway for auto-draw and button-activated power activations.

Please Note: Can take 4 pre-heat sessions (1-min) to activate thick extracts.

WHERE CAN I OBTAIN A CLARITY PEN®?
Currently, 1130 Group is the exclusive distributor for the Clarity Pen® system. We do NOT touch the plant and ONLY work directly with licensed cultivators and producers. You can visit our list of authorized providers and retailers on our partner's page.

Don't see the Clarity Pen® in a retailer by you? Recommend them to us and we will have one of our trained professionals contact them. We work with legal and authorized businesses extracting natural plant-based oil that fill, seal, and deliver cartridges to legal and authorized retailers.

Can i take my vaporizer on the airplane?
U.S. Federal Aviation Regulations dictate transport and use of substances and pharmaceuticals. Visit the Federal Aviation Administration website for the latest information.
Can you reuse the Clarity Pen®?
No. Clarity Pen® 510' is currently single use, but originally designed and conceptualized as reusable.

We are working on the further developments and should be in-line with sustaining the NY State Senate Bill S1278 (nysenate.gov) Ban in our next release.

Stay Tuned!
How long does THE .5ml ampoule last?
Usage time and frequency factors include the duration of inhalation and the type of plant-derived extract.

Ampoules vaporize oil at a stable rate (free of any cotton barriers), of 7mg per 5-second draw. Based on this level of consumption, a 0.5mL ampoule would last approximately 89 inhalations.
DOES CLARITY PEN® ever have headspace?
Picture
Absolutely Not.

What is "headspace"? Well, once ANY other inhalation device is pre-filled, it is actually activating the vaporizer chamber and saturated with cotton barrier protecting leakages, metal, silicone, glues, and seals, and starts to become absorbed up immediately after it is filled with liquids. This is why your .5ml cartridge looks more like a .3ml cartridge by the time you obtain it from retail. The Truth About Headspace - YouTube

As for Clarity Pen®

The same amount of oil filled into the ampoule (.5ml) is exactly the same amount you will receive. In fact, that was one of the most important initiatives that spearheaded this technology back in the day...the unacceptable answer about "headspace". The ampoule seals in ALL terpenoids and flavonoids locking in the exact profile intended by the extraction producer and keeping it all away from contamination.
can CLarity pen® "Clog" or "Spit back" compounds through the mouthpiece?
NOPE!

A common issue with industry standard 510 threaded cartridges and pods lies within the defects of the overall design. Chimney pipe air activated, and vapor released cartridges have oil-side entry ports that interface with a protective cotton barrier and the heating element. The vapor produced goes upwards the narrow chimney pathway leaving the undesirables (which are not vaporized) accumulated and left behind in the chimney pipe. These trapped byproducts are often the culprit behind clogs which leads to the trapped oil, (once re-warmed), to liquefy, and spit upward upon inhalation creating very hot oils into your mouthpiece.

Clarity Pen® does not face these challenges. The ampoule communicates with the Clarity Pen® chassis. This patented design alleviates the need for a chimney air pathway. In turn, the Clarity Pen® system avoids direct "oil/air" mixture leaving the depleted resins" settled beneath the chamber. The 360-degree unrestricted air pathway allows for ease of use and no blockage.

does the ampoule house multiple extracts?
YES!

You can find ANY recommended botanical extract formulation and pair it with the Clarity Pen®

One Ampoule-Multiple Extracts!
will the Clarity Pen® break if it is dropped?
Well....it shouldn't.

Unlike other vape devices that are claimed to be made from borosilicate, the Clarity Pen® offers extracts to be housed in a true borosilicate lab grade ampoule. The BPA free food grade protective chassis allows for effortless 360' degree vape air pathways while protecting the ampoule from falls!

That's right! A typical 6ft drop proof test has confirmed no glass breaking, and your formulations protected and preserving your extracts still intact!
can your ampoule be used with tabacco?
NO

Clarity Pen® system not to be used for tobacco-derived products, e-liquids, or e-juice.
PRODUCER
is this patented?
You Bet!

We have US, CN, CA already patented with others pending. You can visit our contact us page for more information, but this passion project has been in the works for over 7yrs. We wouldn't have released it without full patent protection and teams ready to prosecute bad actors who try to knock it off. If it's important to you to not infringe and want to have an exclusive opportunity to work with the system, its best to work with us.
Is this compatible with existing filling machines?
You Bet!

If you have already purchased a Filling machine on the open market then yes! These ampoules can be filled with ANY traditional filling machine.

The Clarity Pen® ampoules are proprietary to 1130 Group, Inc. in that, they don't exist in the open market. We spent countless hours and tons investment to perfect the tooling to be able to package the device as according to its's intellectual properties.

Please Note: Why waste manpower and time, visit the 1130 ARC (Auto Fill/Cap) Solution below.
DO YOU HAVE FILLING & CAPPING SOLUTIONS?
YES!  Automation is Key to a profitable business.

Already have a Filling Machine?

We have a few Bentch-top capping solutions available for you. These semi-auto capping systems                                      can average about 3-500 an hour and can be done with one worker.

Don't have a fill machine? or Not happy with how your machine is filling?

We have heard that the amount of waste, or time not working has led producers to a more semi-                                        auto approach ditching the large filling capital investment.

That's why from already existing medical grade lab operating procedures we created, a NEW way to                                  approach filling & capping. The 1130 AFC (Auto Fill/Cap) system offers a true fully automatic solution                                  for filling & capping vapes ready for storage and transportation.

The 1130 AFC averages 1200 ampoules an hour, requires 1 worker, and has automated Infared QC                                        site inspection, each step of the way. The worker just needs to load the appropriate number of                                           ampoules, septum's, and caps to the loading zones, and hit go on the LCD screen operating panel.

DO YOU HAVE CE, ROHS CERTIFICATIONS?
YES!

We have selectively partnered with one of the few actually licensed to manufacture of Vaporizers in Shenzhen, China; the home of ALL vapes. This has allowed us a first-hand look into our component suppliers offering MSDS Specifications as well as CE, RoHS certificates of compliance.

More than that.

1130 has already engaged FDA compliant type tests to be carried out on behalf of the Clarity Pen®. We have contracted a true expiration stability chamber study to be conducted on the preservation & storage of the ampoule. We will be looking more than simple tests of E.coli, pesticides, heavy metals, and in addition will be reviewing the molecular cell structure breakdown of terpenoids, flavonoids, and ALL cannabinoids needed to stay intact and stable prior to activation for best-in-class user performance and benefits.

CAN YOU PUT A STRAIN IDENTIFIER ON AMPOULE?
YES!

We can offer any logo, any color to live on the outside of our ampoules. We can add born on dates, and strain identifications on the outside of our already tamper-proof ampoules.
 ARE YOU ONBOARDING NEW Providers?
Visit our partners contact submission and we can investigate with a fine-tooth comb.
Are there any cotton or glues?
Absolutely NOT

Unlike leading ceramic cell cartridges that depend on cotton protective barrier to absorb and mitigate leakage during storage or transportation. , Clarity Pen® chassis is free and clear of any cotton, brass, and glues. We depend on 304 medical grade stainless steel, medica grade ceramic heating core and press fit assembly all the way through.

RETAIL DISTRIBUTOR
what is the shelf-life?
Presently, there is no real non subjective studies as it relates to expiration dates of vapes.

Therefore, we have begun to engage testing facilities to replicate standard expiration studies with the use of accelerated stability chambers.

While subjective studies have already been completed, we are aiming for 3yr+. Shelf-Life
can the ampoule withstand outside contamination?
*Subjectively speaking, YES.

After all of the research on existing medical grade lab ampoules, septum's, and components, we have backed those positive findings to our years of observations. We have found that the volatility needed from the chemicals that interact with lab grade borosilicate ampoules are perfect for storing and preserving those volatile compounds found in extracted plants.

In fact, oxygen and other leached filaments can be seen as enemies of the terpenoids, and flavonoids, those components that best replicate the strain profiles in taste and complexity. Unlike what was seen from the ampoule, which preserves extracts through the point of delivery.

*Once any other 510 threaded cartridge, or pod-based system is filled with the compounds they start to degrade and become less desirable as foreign filaments are changing the structure profile and picking up outside feedback prior to you being able to use it.

Stay tuned for our studies!
will the ampoule be affected if transported by air?
*Subjectively speaking, NO.
